Viggo
In the summer of 2008, I decided to add a dog to my family. After doing quite a bit of research, I decided to tackle the challenge of a Siberian Husky. To my amazement, I stumbled across a breeder in Maryland… Bridget Rice at Celtic Acres Farm. I felt extremely fortunate to find a breeder so close and as it turned out, Bridget had some upcoming breedings planned. Therefore, I immediately sent her an email.
I cannot say enough how wonderful it was working with Bridget. She replied to my first email within 3 hours (I know because I still have her reply). I could tell she knew a LOT about the Siberian breed as she immediately asked me if I had ever owned one before and elaborated on some of the pros and cons about the breed. She also recommended an upcoming breeding for me (Duchess and Nikko), since I was interested in purchasing a red and white puppy.
For the next couple of months, Bridget sent me numerous updates on Duchess- she emailed me when she went into heat, when she witnessed a breeding, when Duchess started to show and of course, when the puppies were finally born. I really appreciated the fact that Bridget took the time to send these updates. Not every breeder would do that.
Once I had picked out my puppy (a beautiful copper and white splash coat who I named Viggo), I could not wait to see him growing in the weekly pictures that Bridget sent. It made me feel like I was at the farm watching him grow. When I finally picked up Viggo at 8 weeks old, Bridget supplied me with a cute puppy kit, which included a toy and a collar.
Viggo is simply an amazing dog in every way. He housebroke quickly, learned basic commands in no time, loves all humans and other dogs, and has grown to be a GORGEOUS boy. Whenever I take Viggo out, there is always at least one person who stops me to tell me how beautiful he is. All of Bridget’s Siberian puppies are and continue to be quite stunning in my opinion.
Since purchasing Viggo from Bridget, I have stayed in touch with her. I constantly send her updated pictures of my boy and I even visited the farm on a couple of occasions afterwards when I was considering adopting an adult dog. Bridget’s farm is lovely… her dogs have plenty of room to run and interact with each other. In addition, all of her dogs seem extremely friendly and are obviously well cared for.
I would recommend Bridget to anyone considering purchasing a Siberian Husky. She is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely has a love for this amazing breed of dog. In fact, I am still considering getting another Husky in the future and I intend to work through Bridget to do so. Again, I feel EXTREMELY fortunate to have found her.
So thank you so much Bridget, for giving me the opportunity to experience unconditional love from my boy Viggo. It has and continues to be a pleasure to work with you.

Tika
Bridget,
Tika is really flourishing in his new environment. His 2 older brothers, Rascal ( the Border Collie) & Bear (Jack Russell/Amer. Bulldog mix) have taught him many things. They're especially tolerant of his puppy-like playfulness & antics. They've even taught him how to use the doggie door.
It hardly feels like he's been a part of the household for just a week. He's made himself very much at home. Speaking of which, since his homecoming, my phone hasn't stopped ringing, plus everyone wants to stop by all of a sudden. I wonder what that'a all about (LOL)?
Will send more pics as I take them. Thanks again.

Here's the most recent picture of Tika (11 mos) with his "brothers" Bear (on the right) & Rascal. He's grown into quite the handsome fellow.
Have an enjoyable holiday. Have been enjoying the pics of the pups.

Bridget,
I'm including some new pics of Tika (3) & one of Tika & Viggo that were taken a few weeks ago. I happen to be dog sitting Viggo this week for Nicki, but I am constantly amazed at the wonderful personalities of these two. If there was ever any doubt about the two being siblings, all one has to do is watch them interact with each other like 2 little kids in the back seat of the car on the family vacation.
Hope you're well. Looks like things are going great guns at Celtic Acres. Keep up the good work.

Sadee
Hey Bridget,
Not sure if you remember me, but I got Sadee from you about 2 years ago from Kyra and Nikko's 2nd litter. Sadee is doing better than ever, and is an absolute carbon copy of Kyra. I will definitely be sending you some photos, because my wife and I were looking around at the website and it would honestly be hard to tell the difference. Sadee has undoubtedly tested the limits of my intelligence about dogs, because she has now figured out how to open up the doors in our home, although it got her stuck in one of our bathrooms the otherday. When we move I'll will end up having to replace all of door knobs with round ones instead of handles. My wife and I were somewhat talking about another husky and have really thought the pictures of Nikko's and Wildfire's female for sale was cute. Is she still available. Look forward to hearing from you.

Junior
Hey Bridget,
Junior is great. Here are some pictures for your website. He really wants to come and visit his relatives. Junior is very playful gets lots of attention, likes to be outside but comes inside to sleep w/his parents and his sister every night. Now that the weather is turning colder he likes to be outside a lot and we have to coax him in with treats. he has learned several tricks. He opens every door in our house, he shakes, he rolls over and he sits all for treats. He learned how to shake in one hour. I will call you sometime later in the year to see if we can make a play date.

Nikko
Hi Bridget,
I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas holiday! I got a
new camera for Christmas this year and took a picture of Nikko. Thought
that you would like to see him. He is doing great. We recently moved to a
new house in Arlington where he has made new friends that he gets to run and
play with everyday. As you can see he has grown quite a bit and has finally
grown into his big ears haha! He was just weighed at the vet last week and
was 72lbs!! Again, I hope that all is well with you and thank you again for
such a wonderful dog.

Basia
Hi Bridget! Looks like you've been busy with a lot of new puppies!
This is a bit late, but here are a couple of pictures of Basia from that big snowstorm in December. She had an absolute blast in the snow. Lucky for her it stuck around for quite a while!
Basia is doing great. She's pretty much a typical 15 month old husky girl: full of energy, sassy, etc. My boyfriend has been looking into "miniature huskies" and wants to get one of those when its time to get another but I don't know about that!

Marcus
Hi Bridget,
Was checking out your site, always like to see what pups are available.........two things - I've attached a couple updated photos of Marcus (Piper - Nikko Oct '08 litter).
Also - regarding the RAW diet......sounds like you're a firm believer in it. I've been feeding Marcus WELLNESS food, thought it was a real good product, but you feel the RAW diet is better for them? Is the transition to a RAW diet similar to transitioning any new food, start mixing in with current food slowly?
